With all due respect to the highly estimable intentions of the project, the Golem is a mechanical creation, not a biological entity, and therefore isn't technically a monster.
An interesting distinction indeed. I can't promise my definition of "Monster" will always live up to yours (and err on the side of interestingness), but will do my best.
An interesting point indeed, but remember the jewish origin of the golem myth. The golem is made of clay and thus it is made similar as humans according to the bible. In their view at least it is as much a biological entity as anyone of us.
I was reading all of these wonderful monster quotes again and this is fantastic Tom, I wish I had seen Frost/Nixon earlier.
